| SPRINGFIELD PARK - A STROLL THROUGH... SPRINGFIELD PARK |
| 10" mini-lp cat# XCALMG0505 (2005) on black vinyl |
A truly amazing mini-lp consisting of never before(!) released recordings from '67/'68 by the fantastic London based psych outfit Springfield Park. These songs, almost 38 years ago, functioned as a demo which instantly got the band a recording deal with CBS. No wonder, since these songs, as well as the orchestral arrangements, are nothing less than brilliant. However, the musicians probably got forced into a more mainstream direction, and after one rather disappointing single -not sounding anything like the material on this 10"- they called it a day. Anyway, this release is the world's first ever opportunity to hear what the real Springfield Park sounded like. A Stroll Through... Springfield Park features 6 wonderful songs in a style reminding of The Kinks' Something Else, The Zombies' Odessey and Oracle and even The Left Banke.

| JULIA P. - MAKING UP FOR LOST TIME |
| lp cat# XCALMG0506 (2005) on red vinyl |
Julia P. isn't only blessed with one of the loveliest voices in Dutch pop music, she may without a doubt be regarded one of the country's finest songwriters as well. During the last decade this highly talented and charming lady from Amsterdam made many records, gained loads of radio airplay and her performance at the famous Lowlands festival (in those days still as Julia P. Hersheimer) got broadcast live on national television. Now a reborn JULIA P. is back with a brand new album, strongly influenced by late 60's west-coast bands s.a. LOVE and The Byrds. But there also are some influences from acid-folk and catchy traces of (gentle!) garage-rock spirit. Expect loads of stunning melodies, great harmony vocals and a cool psychy production with some mind-blowing effects. On her album Julia got accompanied by many guest musicians, a.o. former members of highly regarded Dutch 60’s style bands Treble Spankers and Kek 66. Instruments played include electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums, organ, sitar and even banjo... Making Up For Lost Time beyond doubt is Julia’s finest achievement so far, and a grand new chapter in her impressive career. AND in the short history of the world’s tiniest musical movement, the Euro West Coast-sound. |

| MILKWOOD TAPESTRY - MILKWOOD TAPESTRY |
| lp cat# XCALMG0404 (2004) on black vinyl |
This is the first ever vinyl re-issue of the sole lp (originally released by Metromedia, 1969) by the semi-legendary NYC acid-folk duo Milkwood Tapestry, that consisted of Joseph Ransohoff and Roland Antonelli. This rather dualistic album, with songs ranging from beautiful fairy tale-like, lullabies with rich orchestration, to fuzzed up psych-madness, has a holy grail-like status among fanatical collectors of 60's psychedelia and acid-folk. Many people will be extremely happy that this album -of which original copies are as good as impossible to find- now is available again. Truly unbelievable stuff! |

| FORD'S IMAGINARY INFERNO – MEET THE CHILDREN OF MAKE-BELIEVE |
| lp cat# XCALMG0403 (2004) on sky blue vinyl |
The 2nd lp –released after a bunch of cd’s- by this (semi fictitious) group led by musician-composer Hans F. Ford is a quest for sheer beauty. An adventurous journey through an enlightened parallel-universe. A world of dreams which at the same time offers more truth than a society in which people (literally) as well as their desires become more artificial by the day. The Children Of Make-Believe will stun fans of contemporary psychedelia as well as the purest of 60's purists. |

JULIA P. and FORD'S IMAGINARY INFERNO – A PEACEFUL AND
REFRESHING BREEZE FROM THE EUROPEAN WEST-COAST |
| split 7" cat# XCALMG0402 (2004) on orange
vinyl |
Thanks to this delightful split-7" on bright
orange vinyl it only takes 6 minutes to find out what the Euro West Coast sound
and vibe is all about. Julia P.'s contribution, 'Sunshine (Electric)' , as
the title already suggests, is a fabulous slice of sunshine-pop. It also is the
opening track of her LP Making Up For Lost Time. Ford's Imaginary
Inferno's 'A Dream About A Girl' is an intriguing acid-folk composition
that was taken from their latest album F.I.I. Meet The Children Of
make-Believe. |

| FORD'S IMAGINARY INFERNO - SUMMER BREEZE AND MAGIC TREES |
lp cat# FII008 - 1st edition (2003) on transparent yellow vinyl (sold out) 2nd edition (2004) on white vinyl |
Ford's Imaginary Inferno are a unique psych outfit operating on a hidden houseboat on the canals of Amsterdam. These (one to five) musicians also were the first band to release a record under the flag of the Euro West Coast, taking the sound, vibe and spirit of the 60's psychedelic underground into this young and bright millennium. Influenced both by late 60’s dream-psych and early 70’s (UK) acid-folk, this lp is full of heavenly melodies with a mystical feel, multi-layered vocals and adventurous arrangements and effects. With this album the band made many new friends all over the world. No wonder the first edition sold out rapidly. A second pressing on white vinyl is still available. |
